Edge of Darkness [R5-LINE][IMAGiNE V2][Sub.Esp]

‘Edge of Darkness’ supone el regreso a la interpretación de primera línea por parte de Mel Gibson, a quien no vemos desde ‘Señales’ y ‘El detective cantante’, ésta última en un divertido papel secundario. En ella da vida a un puritano policía de Boston, al que le asesinan a su hija. Convencido de que el objetivo era él, comenzará una investigación que le llevará a descubrir la secreta vida que llevaba su hija.

Ahora se une a Gibson Robert De Niro, quien interpreta a un agente de la CIA que ira limpiando las pruebas de la investigación. La película está dirigida por Martin Campbell, capaz de realizar el peor Bond de toda la historia (‘Goldeneye’), pero también uno de los mejores (‘Casino Royale’) y ha comenzado su rodaje este mismo mes. Cuenta con un guión del oscarizado William Monahan y Andrew Bovell.

¿De Niro y Gibson juntos en una película? Éxito asegurado. Ahora sólo esperemos que el director de ‘Una historia del Bronx’ reconduzca su carrera como actor con mejor tino del que ha tenido en los últimos años. Títulos como ‘Righteous Kill’, ‘What Just Happened?’, o la tan anunciada ‘Frankie Machine’, pueden ayudar a ello.
